Stems & Sips: A Mother's Day evening at the library

Friday, May 8, 2026 · 5:00–6:30 PM
Hidden Harbor Wine Library · Gig Harbor, WA · $115 per person · Limited to 12

Past events

Spend an unhurried Friday evening arranging flowers and sipping wine the day before Mother's Day weekend begins. Come with Mom, come with a group of Moms, or treat yourself to something beautiful before the weekend rush. You'll work with peonies, butterfly ranunculus, anemone, sweet peas, and stock — cut to order on our farm on the Oakland Bay shoreline. No templates, no rules. Just flowers, wine, and 90 minutes to make something you'll love.

You'll leave with a finished spring centerpiece, fully personalized, packed and ready for her table — or yours.

Storing Dahlia Tubers

Sunday, October 26, 2025 · 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Farm53 · Shelton, WA · $35 per person · Limited to 12

With the rain coming and frost having done its work, a small group gathered at the farm to learn one of the most important and most overlooked dahlia skills: how to dig, divide, and store tubers through a PNW winter.

Participants left with real hands-on technique, an understanding of why this matters in our wet climate, and a set of tubers to plant in their own gardens come spring. No pressure, no stakes, just good learning and a little good mud.
