Sunday, November 1, 2026 · 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM · Farm53 Flowers · Shelton, WA · $55 per person · Limited to 8
Your dahlias have spent the summer making new tubers underground. Our wet winters rot them in the soil, and a clump left in the same spot for years stops blooming.
We will dig a clump from our field and show you where to cut it so each tuber keeps an eye (the small bump the new shoot grows from). Then you dig and divide a clump yourself with us beside you, and learn how to pack the tubers for winter storage.
You take home 3 tubers, and they can be three different varieties from what we dig that day. We sell tubers at $10 to $15 each, so that is $30 to $45 of tubers going home with you. The rest of the clump stays with us.
We dig rain or shine. Guests sign a liability waiver when they arrive.
Clocks go back one hour that morning, so set your clock the night before.
What to bring: clothes you can get dirty, garden gloves, waterproof boots.
